What is the best way to deal with difficult people at work?
Posted By: admin // Category: dealing with difficult peopleI deliver snacks to various locations in my city and there is one problematic account that I want to make sure is handled right and does not get out of hand. There is a manager there and a person who works with him closely and she is the problem there.
In generall she is acting shady (differently than all other people that I come accros in other accounts) and feels differently too. I am sure that everybody (especially in the us, west us etc) have come accros situations like that. Every time I come this person walks out and is just standing out there looking for something personal in interaction with me. I try to stay away but that does not work. I all other places I just deliver, people sign and I am on my way to another account, but this one is different.
I was reading on the internet about the people who feel inferior (past experiences, school etc) who at all cost want to control what is going on around them etc. They try to attack, manipulate other people, get over them so they feel secure etc. It is hard to keep them out at work, especially if they are your customers.
How do you deal with it? I know it is good to ignore it, but if I am there 3-5 times a week it might get to me some time soon. Do I have to be a victim of that? If I hit back they might just complain about me etc. What is the solution here?
