The way to deal with difficult people at work is to kill them with kindness. Trust me, it will really throw them off !!
The more difficult they are, the kinder you should be.

Luckily, I am allowed to stream music through the web! So I just listen to that and ignore everyone. If they give an attitude, I give one also!
