difficult customer
We were prequalified to buy a new home and had to wait until the president of the company (Corman Leigh) decided whether he would sell the home to us. As we had sign the contracts and were expected to open escrow etc) I started chasing the builders for an reply, and they were upset with me for doing so and classified me as being difficult! They then refused to sell me the home!
Has anyone else had that experience?
This is a new one since you have to money i sure they have to put up with a lot of BS from other people.

difficult people
Has the recent infux of illegal immigration into the US made it more difficult for people to immigrate legally?
Easier?
Or has it stayed the same?
Why do you think so?
Much harder. For example the 1996 law changes were due to illegal immigration frustration, as is the current fight about H1B visa increases. Marital immigration fraud makes it slower to bring in spouses.
When we feel more than ‘full’ we aren’t as liberal with our laws.

coping with difficult people
I am trying to institute a 360 degree feedback process in my team and I am looking for ways train my team in coping with difficult feedback (with examples)
I would appreciate if you could share how you addressed any difficult or unexpected feedback you received (either professional or personal).
One way suggested by training professionals is to ’sandwich’ the "not-so-good news" (negative criticism) with positive remarks and feedback. Give a positive start and finish. The door is then open for further public (group) discussion or a chance of a word with yourself in private.
In trying to help your team improve, it is important that the criticism never becomes personal, only helpful. Otherwise, individuals will just give up trying to improve (which they may see as simply ‘pleasing you’) and become undermining and subversive, which helps nobody. Be fair and be SEEN to be fair.
