Try to be polite. Do not live under 1 roof with your MIL. Seeing them for dinner every week help keeps a distance and a less-argument relationship.

What are coping tips for ADHD in a teen girl?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: coping with difficult people

I was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago. I am still finding answers hard to come by. I do not know how to explain to my family and friends why I can’t control my actions, and how to control my actions. I am on medication, which helps me think sanley, but I still struggle making decisions and focusing, and off my medication, I am completley wild and impulsive. It is difficult for people to understand that I have ADHD, if they have only seen me on my medication, and tell me that there is no possible way i have it, and when I get off they are shocked. It is verrrry hard in school , and my homework is overwhelming all the time. How do i deal?????

http://addmanagement.com/free_resources/freeresources.html is a link to some free resources for add/adhd sufferers. It’s for adults, but you sound as if you can use it.

http://www.the-health-site.com/articles/index.php?article=27 is an article about managing ADHD and there are other articles listed in the lefthand column there.

How do I politely tell a customer they cannot have a discount on products and services?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: difficult customer

I have a difficult customer that already gets favorable pricing and now wants another discount. The problem is they are struggling and I don’t want appear to be contributing to their hardship but I can’t let them take me down with them.

I think you answered your own question. You can explain to them that although you would like to help them, it is not fiscally possible to lower your prices any lower, given the shape the economy is. The discount you already give the customer is the lowest possible price you can offer.

anyone who is good at (or has experience) dealing with difficult people please help!?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: dealing with difficult people

for a school trip, me and my "good friend" are doing community service together. for whatever reason, i cannot stop thinking about her. overall, she is a very critical, negative, complaining, gossipy person…. and it is extremely uncommon for me to dislike anyone. the subject always turns back to her (or some person at our hs). when i got my permit and a merit award, she just went "oh", no congrats, no nothing. she once called my sister a wh*re. anyways, in public, she acts overly sweet, nice, and polite. and it kills me b/c these people don’t see what her other side is like. like this girl in my grade who she always complains about being sooo annoying…. she went up to her and asked for a hug. then she told me cause she "thought it was funny". what is it called when a person is like this and what can i do to stop thinking about her?
she is 17 and i am 16

When a person is like this I call them a fake. They are not real because what others see is only what is wanted to be seen, not the real person at all. It is sad, but that happens a lot with people. The sad part is that all too often you will have made friends with them before it ever is known that they are not what they seem to be. Try to learn from this girl and her fake front and look for that in others as you make friends. One like that is better not to be had as a friend at all because they are not true friends and can’t be true ever. It only causes those who have trusted them as friends to be hurt. Stay clear of her as much as possible but when having to deal with her, just consider the source and know it isn’t real at all. You can actually pity her for not being real. It is sad to be like that. It is something that is around a whole lot. Just be careful. Maybe you will be able to know the signs the next time.
