There are a lot of annoying people in the world and you are going to find that there are a lot of co-workers who will act like they are not qualified to do their job, but there are ways for your to learn how to cope with these people. When you learn to cope with someone who is pretending to be stupid, you will find that there are going to be better days at work and you'll be able to enjoy what you do once again. It may sound weird that someone can have that much effect on you, but when it comes to your co-workers you will find that it may be what makes you love or hate your job. You will find that there are going to be people who will stand there and not do a thing while you do it all, but then there are going to be people who excel in their work. Both of these examples may be people who will do stupid things or people who will think out of the box, it's just all about the type of person that you are dealing with.
First, if this person that is irritating you is someone who works very hard at their job, you will find that they think out of the box. They will try to come up with new and different ways of getting the same results that you do. They can sometimes be outrageous, and often, very silly. However, you will want to handle your time with this person very differently than a person who is just lazy. You will not consider their ideas stupid, but unique. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't work. It's always good for you to have someone on your side that thinks out of the box. Your team will become more successful if you only embrace their "stupid" and see it as uniqueness.
Then there are people who will do nothing, but ask you a thousand questions to seem like they are participating and working in the group. This is where you may want to talk to your superior and have a meeting because these types of people do end up making you lose control at work. They are frustrating because if they would do their job, they wouldn't seem so stupid. This is where you will want to talk to someone about making them become more independent. You should ask your manager to help you to get them to be more independent in their work so that you are not distracted from your own work.
You should also know that there are lot of people who come off silly and stupid, but it's all because they are insecure with themselves. They feel unable to make a good decision because they lack self-esteem. For these cases, you may just want to encourage them their the kindness of your words and show your support. You will want to give them complements and allow them to learn how to trust their own self and then they will be less stupid and they will increase in production.
You will find that there are going to be a lot of different reasons why a person is the way they are. You are going to have to give them sympathy and you may want to take in mind how they feel versus how you feel. If they are getting in the way of your own production, you will want to have a talk with them. If the problem persists you will want to go to your manager and explain it all to them so that they can understand your issues and then get to the bottom of things. You will find that when you go about coping with a difficult co-worker like this you will be able to stay positive and the whole office will thank you for your kindness and understanding.
