Coping With Difficult People

I work at a corporate office of a very large company. It is very difficult dealing with the people that work there. Some are nice, but most are very mean! I try to be nice to everybody. These people think they are better than anyone else and are heartless. They don’t care about anybody. Can anyone give me some advice on how to deal with these people. I need my job, but I don’t need all the stress and I dread going to work some days. HELP!
